Locked out? Ways back in
Can't sign in? Work through these in order — most lockouts end at step 1 or 2.
1. Reset your password
Choose Forgot password? on the sign-in page, enter your email, and follow the emailed link to set a new password. Full steps in Email & password.
2. Use a one-time sign-in link
If you can read your email, you can get in: enter your email on the sign-in page and choose Email me a sign-in link. See Email sign-in link.
3. Signed up with Google?
If you created your account with Continue with Google, use that button — there may be no VerityBase password to reset. See Sign in with Google.
4. Use a recovery code
Recovery codes are one-time backup codes for when nothing else works — for example, you've lost the device that held your passkey and can't receive email.
Set them up ahead of time (while signed in):
- Open My profile → Security → Recovery codes.
- Choose Generate recovery codes. You get a set of one-time codes, shown once — Copy or Download them and store them somewhere safe (your password manager is ideal).
- Regenerate codes replaces the old set — earlier codes stop working.
To sign in with one: on the sign-in page choose Use a recovery code (under "Can't access your account?"), enter your email and one unused code. Each code works exactly once, so once you're in, take a moment to re-secure your account — reset your password or add a new passkey.
5. Contact us
